We know that Mars was inhabited by bacteria. But what if the bacteria grew up? What if the bacteria had a name? What if?

Here we have an unmistakable picture of what could be a young girl. She appears to be holding her right hand over her heart as one might do in a pledge of allegiance. She also has a doll or small creature sitting on her right forearm.

The area around the mouth is distinct and clear as a picture of a mouth with a look of surprise or perhaps even joy. The eye area on the right appears to be broken or shattered. The one on the left side as she is standing is a little more clear.

The hair is partly there but it isn’t clear. It may be that this was destroyed in some cataclysm. If so then the area is built up by other structures on top of her. Could this be a sign that life continued on for at least a time before the statue of this girl was moved by time to begin degrading?

I think this is one of my favorite pictures as it speaks of a young girl who is happy and joyful and surprised with life.
